Visual Art Ideas
23ú lá de mhí Marta 2020
Hiya,
Last month we discovered who invented the printing press. Can you kids remember?
Following on from this we were due to explore print in Visual Arts so we've attached some ideas below. We understand you may not have access to art supplies. These are just suggested activities. However, prints can be made using everyday household items so if you are giving it a go be creative and use your own imagination and innovation. Please photograph any designs or artwork you create because we'll have a new online media for you to post to after the Easter break.
Steps: etch, paint, print, repeat.
Fruit and veg prints
Etching into Styrofoam plates is an alternative option but less eco-friendly!
Circle prints using toilet roll tubes, cups and bowls etc
Can you recall a famous painter renowned for using circles in his artwork?
Hint:
Answer: Wassily Kandinsky.
String Prints using...you guessed it string!!
Alternatives: toothpicks, match sticks (be careful!!), tightly rolled paper or lego.
Have fun,
Sarah & Sally
p.s remember to clean up. 😅
